80% of exhibition space is already booked
THE INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT, A BENCHMARK EVENT FOR THE YEAR
The leading sectors in machinery and manufacturing technology will be on view once again at Cumbre Industrial y Tecnológica ("the Industry and Technology Summit"), which is to take place on September 25-28 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. With five months still to go before the opening, 80% of the space at the event has already been booked, with 550 firms already registered: 12% more than at the same time prior to the 2005 event.
Domestic and foreign firms from the fields of industrial subcontracting, machinery, equipment and supplies for foundries, forging, rolling and surface treatment, welding, robots, tools and small auxiliary machinery, machinery and equipment for the steel industry, industrial maintenance, bar turning, automation, electricity and electronics, storage and hoisting, packing and packaging, coding, marking and identification, metrology and new technologies will make this Spain's leading international event of the year for industry.
SEPARATE AREAS
The 2007 Industry and Technology Summit will focus particularly on automation and industrial maintenance, seeking to offer firms in these sectors a forum for ensuring that their participation in the event is as profitable as possible. Efforts in this direction include a programme for visiting buyers and collaboration agreements with acknowledged experts in the field, which make the event the year's major reference point for the automation and industrial maintenance sectors.
SUBCONTRATACIÓN, A LEADING FAIR
Participants in the 14th Subcontratación, Subcontracting Fair, will include groups from various countries including France, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and Argentina, along with groups from key sectors such as the automotive and aeronautics industries. The Basque automotive cluster ACICAE will be organising for the first time this year a dynamic, separate exhibition area for its members that will serve as a venue for meetings between suppliers and customers.
WIDE-RANGING CAMPAIGN TO ATTRACT VISITORS
The campaign designed to attract visitors is highly ambitious and seeks to reinforce other actions taken on the international stage in order to provide exhibitors with useful business contacts. It is based on preliminary information and attention for visitors, intensive advertising and marketing at home and abroad and a programme for delegations of purchasers coordinated worldwide. This year's campaign will be particularly focused on the needs of exhibiting firms.
The Summit is a must for technical and purchasing management staff from the aeronautics, automotive, a railway, domestic appliance, machine tool, shipbuilding and capital goods sectors.
